Born as Maggie and raised in Mukwonago, WI, Mie’s journey into music started at just seven years old when she was thrown on stage to sing a cappella. From choir rehearsals to studying vocal performance at UW Milwaukee’s Peck School of the Arts, she’s honed a voice that’s as real as her lyrics.

Inspired by legends like Stevie Nicks, Jewel, and KT Tunstall, Mie weaves vulnerability into her songwriting, exploring love, rage, depression, and joy—all in a way that resonates deeply with listeners. “I hope they feel catharsis. I hope that they can heal a little bit through my story,” she shares.

At the heart of her music is a mission: to uplift, connect, and inspire. “Our pain makes us that much more human. The more we show that, the more united we are.”

"Ice" is about re-entering the dating world after a long-term relationship and struggling to trust again. It’s easier to stay guarded than to risk getting hurt. But by shutting people out, am I really protecting myself—or am I just making myself colder?

"Beauty" was born from a deep meditation during a time of hopelessness and self-doubt. In that stillness, I encountered a radiant, feminine presence—what I call source—who reminded me that at my core, I am beauty, free to experience and enjoy this world without judgment. This song carries that message of healing and peace, and I hope it brings the same comfort to others.
