"Peaches n’ Cream" was inspired by an old-school love for jazz and swing. A friend once told me my music needed more snap, so I asked what he liked—turns out, he missed the golden era of scat singers like Ella Fitzgerald. That got me thinking: Why not bring that vibe back? The phrase peaches n’ cream felt like the perfect fit—smooth, sweet, and made for dancing. And funny enough, when I finally recorded it, that same friend called it the best song I’d ever written.

"If the Sun" started as just a phrase that wouldn’t leave me: "If the sun comes up this morning, I still love you." It felt like the foundation of something bigger, so I let it sit with me. As I went about my days, scenes and emotions would surface—maybe it’s about two people parting ways, maybe about loss, even death. But at its core, it’s about how we hold onto love and honor those who mean something to us.
