Norfolk, Virginia, then settle in at the charming Cedars of Williamsburg Bed &
Breakfast, your home for the duration of the tour, conveniently located near the heart of Colonial Williamsburg.
Enjoy three full days exploring Colonial Williamsburg at your own pace, where
costumed interpreters, historic buildings, and engaging museums bring the 18th century vividly to life. With a dedicated group shuttle and a walkable location, you’ll have the freedom to design each day to your interests, from artisan shops to historic taverns.
Travel back to pivotal moments in American history with guided excursions to
Yorktown—site of the Revolutionary War’s decisive battle—and Jamestown, the first
permanent English settlement in North America. Learn about the triumphs and
complexities that shaped the nation, including Jamestown’s role in early colonial

Itinerary:
Day 1 - September 14
6:30 am - Leave Mitchell International Airport for Norfolk, VA on Southwest Airlines.
12:30 pm – Expected arrival in Norfolk, VA. You will be transported to Colonial
Williamsburg from the airport by bus.
We will check into The Cedars of Williamsburg Bed and Breakfast where we stay for the duration of the tour. Our own group shuttle will be available to get to and from the bed and breakfast to Colonial Williamsburg when you need it. If you are a walker, it’s a ten-minute walk from the bed and breakfast to downtown Colonial Williamsburg.
Right after you are checked in and settled in your room, you are welcome to begin your exploration of Colonial Williamsburg and find a yummy dinner at a café or historic tavern for dinner (Not Included)
Day 2 and 3 – September 15 and 16
A full breakfast is served at the bed and breakfast (I). Afterward, you are free to carefully experience Colonial Williamsburg and the museums at your own pace. Williamsburg, the thriving capital of Virginia, where a revolution took hold and where you can see, hear and touch this influential city as it once was – back in time.
The mini-van shuttle will be available the whole day to help you traverse the grounds and get up and back to the bed and breakfast. Multiple restaurants are available for you
to choose from for lunch and dinner (Not Included). A full list of unique experiences to select from will be available each day. The choices change each day.
Day 4 - September 17
After breakfast we leave for Yorktown – an important colonial settlement. The town reached the height of its’ development around 1750, when it had 250 to 300 buildings and a population of almost 2,000 people. It was the base of British General Charles Cornwallis during the 1781 siege, which was the last major battle of the American
Revolutionary War.
We enjoy lunch (Included) as a group at Amber Ox Public House followed by a guided tour of Yorktown which we take as a group.
We return to Colonial Williamsburg where you can find dinner (Not Included) on your own.
Day 5 - September 18
Today we leave for Jamestown following breakfast. The Jamestown Settlement in the Colony of Virginia was the first permanent English settlement in the Americas.
Jamestown served as the colonial capital from 1616 until 1699. In August 1619, the first recorded slaves from Africa to British North America.
We enjoy a buffet lunch at the Jamestown Café (Included) and an educational group tour. We
will eat a group dinner (Included) at Shield’s Tavern.
Day 6 - September 19
We have our last breakfast at the bed and breakfast (Included) and check-out.
We fly back to MKE with a scheduled departure time of 12:35 pm with arrival in Milwaukee at 3:30 pm.
