Itinerary: 

9:30 AM – Departure from Watertown Park & Ride. An additional pickup is scheduled in Grafton, WI.

11:00 AM – Arrive at The Wade House in Sheboygan. We enjoy lunch (I) on site.

Midday & Afternoon: Historic Exploration & Activities 

Join us for a day steeped in history. Wade House features a world gone by. Explore the golden era of the carriage through the stagecoach inn and other historic structures, a state-of-the-art museum and Wisconsin’s largest collection of carriages and wagons in a 20,000 square foot space. Enjoy a wagon ride and watch the blacksmith hard at work. A candle dipping class is included. Tour Wade House – an old stagecoach inn.

  • Stagecoach Inn Tour: Walk through the carefully preserved Wade House, a mid-1800s stagecoach inn that served travelers along the old plank road.
  • Carriage Museum: Explore a modern 20,000-square-foot space housing Wisconsin’s largest collection of historic carriages, sleighs, and wagons.
  • Hands-On Candle Dipping Class: Learn the traditional trade of candle making and dip your own candle to take home as a souvenir (included).
  • Live Blacksmith Demonstration: Watch a skilled blacksmith hammer iron in an authentic historic forge.
  • Horse-Drawn Wagon Ride: Take a relaxing wagon ride through the scenic grounds.

4:00 PM – Departure from Wade House

Stop along the return route to enjoy a relaxing dinner (I) with fellow travelers.

Drop-offs at the Grafton and Watertown Park & Ride locations.
