National Railroad Museum

Milwaukee PBS invites you on a 1-day bus trip to Green Bay, Wisconsin.

Join Milwaukee PBS this June on a one-day trip to Green Bay, WI. Visit The National Railroad Museum’s 33 acres, the site of an increasing collection of historic railroad equipment.

Some of the Museum’s unique locomotives include
 • Union Pacific #4017
 • “Big Boy,” the Pershing
 • Dwight D. Eisenhower locomotive
 • and more pieces, which are representative of U.S., railroad history

The Museum now features more than 70 pieces of rolling stock, 100,000-plus small artifacts, operating / display tracks, seasonal train rides, and special events.

We will arrive in time for a Hobo lunch, before learning about the collection housed in the interior of the museum on a guided tour.

Afterward, you can freely explore the exterior collection at your own pace. Later we will come aboard the train for an educational ride throughout the grounds, which includes wooded areas and the Fox River shoreline. The conductor will describe the rolling stock, museum highlights, railroad safety, and hobo culture.

Before our return home, enjoy a delectable meal aboard the Dinner Train.
