Celebrate the peak of summer with a journey through Wisconsin’s most picturesque landscapes. This curated day trip balances nostalgia, nature, and local flavors. We begin with a vintage experience at the East Troy Railroad Museum, where you’ll enjoy a delicious lunch (I) served right on the train, surrounded by rail history.
The heart of the trip takes us to Skelly’s Farm Market in Janesville. Spanning 7 acres, their sunflower fields are a photographer’s dream, featuring 30 distinct varieties ranging from classic giants to multi-colored specialty blooms. You’ll have full access to "prop stops" designed for the perfect photo op, as well as viewing platforms for a bird's-eye view of the golden horizon.
Beyond the views, you get to take the beauty home! Visit the dedicated cutting area to select 12 of your favorite blooms to fill your complimentary galvanized bucket. Before leaving, enjoy a fresh donut from the bakery and browse the retail barn. We wrap up the evening with a hearty, sit-down dinner (I) at Holi Cannoli in Elkhorn before heading home.
