Dr. David Southward
Associate Teaching Professor, UWM Honors College
David Southward earned degrees in English from Northwestern and Yale Universities. In 1998 he joined the Honors College at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, where he is currently Associate Teaching Professor. Dr. Southward has published on the writings of Jane Austen and will speak about her fascination with embarrassment – as both a comic
device and a foible of human nature.
