Alexandria Mack

Alexandria Mack has always loved telling stories. As a young girl, tape recorder in tow, creating her own soap operas, documenting the happenings of her house, and even presenting all the dirt dug up on her siblings to her mother. Twenty years, two degrees, and a handful of internships later, Mack is in her fifth year as a multimedia producer at Milwaukee PBS. In her role, she has produced award-winning segments for “Black Nouveau” that share stories of trials and triumph African-Americans face in the city. She also is a co-host of the station’s first podcast “Speaking Of…” which was recognized with a 2022 Public Media Award.

Alexandria’s favorite part of storytelling is getting out into the community and meeting the diverse people working to make her city a better place, using their own experiences and talents as catalysts for both inspiration and change. Alexandria’s storytelling has been recognized by the National Association of Black Journalists, Milwaukee Press Club and the Chicago/Midwest Emmys. In 2024, Alexandria was selected as the recipient of the University of Wisconsin Madison's School of Journalism and Communications' Ralph O. Nafziger Award for Achievement within 10 Years of Graduation. When Alexandria is not overly caffeinated and knee-deep in transcriptions, “Lexi” can be found making memories with her college sweetheart turned husband Bryan and their two-year-old daughter Gia.
