The Door in a day

Join Profit For You Tours and Milwaukee PBS on September 7, 2022, for a one-day trip to Door County as we explore the natural beauty of the peninsula.

Enjoy lunch at Wilson’s Restaurant in Ephraim.  A classic Door County landmark that takes visitors back in time with its old-fashioned soda fountain and ice cream specialties, home-brewed draft root beer flame-broiled burgers, and juke boxes playing the classics.

Visit The Corner of The Past Museum in Sister Bay. The tour begins at the historic 1875 farmhouse that was brought over the ice from Marinette, WI in the winter of 1885. Once the home of the Alex Anderson family, it has been carefully restored with some of their original furniture and other early 20th-century pieces.

After the tour, wander in the 7-acre site to see the sixteen restored historic farm buildings, cottages, sawmill, and log cabins filled with authentic artifacts, vintage furnishings, displays, and collections of farm implements and tools.

Visit the Seaquist Orchard Farm Market with over 1000 acres of cherry trees, Seaquist is cherry heaven! Plenty to see and buy at this market.

The day ends at Pelletier’s Restaurant in Fish Creek, where it’s time to sit down and enjoy a demonstration of a traditional Door County fish boil cooking process and dinner before returning home.

Some stair climbing, above average walking, getting on and off the bus many times per day. Uneven surfaces and standing in one place
