NATIONAL MEXICAN COOKING SHOW HOST PATI JINICH COMES TO MILWAUKEE'S FIESTA

Pati Jinich, host of "Pati's Mexican Table" and popular cookbook author is visiting Milwaukee for the weekend of Mexican Fiesta. On Friday, August 26, Pati will speak at UW-Milwaukee's Golda Meir Library at 11:45 a.m. She will be discussing how being Jewish has impacted her cooking, and her personal experiences growing up in Mexico. WISCONSIN GIRL NAMED A WINNER IN NATIONWIDE HEALTHY LUNCHTIME CHALLENGE‚Ä®

First Lady Michelle Obama, PBS flagship station WGBH Boston, the U.S. Department of Education, and the U.S. Department of Agriculture announced today the winners of the Healthy Lunchtime Challenge, a nationwide recipe challenge for kids that promotes cooking and healthy eating as part of the First Lady's Let's Move! initiative. An 8-year-old girl from southeastern Wisconsin, Raya, won for her recipe "Wisconsin Cranberry Chickpea Salad". Raya and the other 55 winners will attend a Kids' "State Dinner" at the White House hosted by Mrs. Obama on July 14. The aspiring young chefs and a parent or guardian will join the First Lady for a healthy lunch, featuring a selection of the winning recipes, followed by a visit to the White House Kitchen Garden. Milwaukee PBS ANNOUNCES WAUKESHA TEACHER AS A MEMBER OF THE 2016 PBS LEARNINGMEDIA DIGITAL INNOVATORS PROGRAM

Today, Milwaukee PBS announced Laura Busch from Blair Elementary School in Waukesha as one of this year's PBS LearningMedia Digital Innovators. The program, which is in its fourth year, recognizes tech-savvy K-12 educators who are serving as leaders in the education technology space and incorporating digital media in classrooms. TAVIS SMILEY SELECTS MILWAUKEE AS ONE OF FIVE CITIES IN A WEEKLONG TOUR

Tavis Smiley, the host of the late night television talk show Tavis Smiley, which airs weeknights on PBS stations across the country, will travel to Milwaukee on Tuesday, April 19 as part of his "One Great Idea Tour."
