Host Alamelu Vairavan, a native of South India, displays her life-long interest in promoting healthy cooking, eating, and Indian cooking techniques through healthy food preparation that appeals to American audiences.

Aided by her 20 plus years of experience, Alamelu teaches the health benefits of spices turmeric, cumin, ginger, fenugreek seeds, asafoetida, coconut power, urad dal, cardamom, curry powder, and other ingredients in her recipes including, broccoli, legumes, beans, rice, and Brussels sprouts.
