Under general supervision of the Manager, TV Administration and primarily assigned to the TV Programming Department , responsible for performing difficult and varied clerical duties involving the application of advanced typing and keyboarding skills for an organizational unit. Work is distinguished from that of other classes by the assignment of work requiring detailed knowledge of an operation, high degree of skill in computerized word processing equipment, and the exercise of independent judgment and initiative in a wide range of matters to assist management or supervisory personnel in the completion of significant details including correspondence and public contacts, or by gathering background material for supervisor's review. Trains and directs the work of lower level clerical personnel. Instructions received are general in nature and review is normally only for results obtained.

Under general direction of the General Manager, Milwaukee Public Television (MPTV), performs a wide variety of administrative and supportive duties of a highly responsible and confidential nature to assist in the operations of MPTV. Work requires broad knowledge of departmental and institutional operations, policies and procedures, a broad technical and application knowledge of computers and networks, and the exercise of judgment, ingenuity and discretion to resolve minor problems and administrative details.
